2015 may have ended last week, but before we close the lid on another fantastic year, full of fabulously quirky Sussex weddings, we wanted to send it out with the style it deserves. And there’s only one sure-fire way of doing that; by re-living a few of our faves, of course! So, whether you’re a regular reader or a newbie bride-to-be (if so; hello and congratulations!), get the kettle on, raid the biscuit tin (we won’t tell anyone!) and get comfy. Oh 2015, how pretty you were!
One of our earliest weddings showcased was Vojin and Chrysso’s gorgeous beach-inspired wedding at the romantic Gallivant in Camber. Their wedding with “French granny’s house” themed décor (their words, not ours!), bow ties, braces and romantic beachside pics, made our hearts skip a few beats…
Who can forget Candy and Ron’s colourful fairytale wedding at Herstmonceux Castle? We certainly can’t! From the bunting to the balloons, the bubbles to the owl ring bearer (yep; you did read that right!) AND not forgetting, it was planned ENTIRELY by the groom, this is definitely one of those weddings brimming with beautiful (and fun!) ideas to borrow for your big day!
It’s fair to say that any wedding that has a Choccywoccydoodah cake is going to stick in our minds! Team that with a cool pub ceremony and a jaw-droppingly amazing Alice in Wonderland tea party (and not to mention a really lovely couple!) and yes, you guessed it – we fell right down the rabbit hole for Keith and Johanna’s ‘do…
Emma and Tony’s Sussex summer fete wedding at Westmeston Parish Hall not only saw Vintage Scoops’ ice cream van rock up, but also boasted an outdoor ceremony, oh and thirty kids (under 10!) have what we can only imagine as the most fun afternoon EVER. This wedding is a must-read for all of you planning on having children at your wedding – this pro pair had it down to a tee!
Y’know when you hear how a couple met and think; yep, it’s got Hollywood movie (and er, pass us the hankies) written all over it? That’s exactly how we felt about gorgeous couple Anna and James, who married in a relaxed, Duncton Mill Fishery ‘do in July (honestly, you just need to read their story to believe it!). Their big day incorporated tipis, lakeside vows and a whole lotta DIY. L-U-S-H.
Of course, this is just a small snippet of the beautiful bounty of Sussex weddings we featured, during 2015 – see them all here! Bring on 2016, eh brides and grooms to be?!
