To welcome the prettiest ice-cream van in all the land to her new home and celebrate this amazing news, fab local photographers, Tino & Pip shot this gorgeous ‘Welcome to Brighton’ shoot of Betty and her new owners: mother and daughter team, Vic and Jo (truly lovely ladies by the way). Vic’s lovely sister Fiz came along for the shoot too!
Betty wasn’t able to travel this far from home when she lived in Milton Keynes, much to the dissapointment of many a Sussex bride and groom. So 2013 will be the first time that Betty will be available for weddings in Sussex!
Betty is chock full of locally sourced ice cream and a range of vintage ice lollies and drinks and is festooned with bunting and cute kitsch props. Best of all, she can be hired for your wedding day along with the lovely Vic and Jo who will serve your guests from the 50’s style ice-cream van in their best vintage style frocks.
Vic and Jo, Betty‘s proud new owners say: ‘We treasure Betty and want to share her with everyone interested in the beauty of yester year, nostalgia and the delights of ice cream as it used to be in those summer days of childhood.’
What an amazing addition to a Sussex summer wedding! Betty could be your wedding’s ‘something old and something blue’ too!
We are loving Vic’s modern twist on the vintage look too.
By the way, the girls’ amazing hair and makeup for this shoot was done by the talented Nicky from Pretty Pout at funky Brighton hotel, Artists Residence. Their gorgeous dresses are from Brighton’s Oh My Honey (you can check out more about Oh My Honey in our post about their 2013 bridal collection launch party here).
Here’s a glimpse behind the scenes of the shoot for you!
Love these photos by Tino & Pip! The girls look amazing.
So if you are now hooked on the idea of inviting Betty and the girls to your Sussex wedding and plying your guests with lashings of ice-cream, you can drop Vic and Jo an email on email@example.com or find out more on the Vintage Scoops website.
