Nicola from Mathilda Rose‘s ears must have been burning last week, when a bride-to-be I was chatting to at a Brighton wedding fair gave her and Mathilda Rose (Nicola’s West Sussex bridal boutique) a glowing review. She told me that her fear of wedding dress shops and shopping (as someone who doesn’t really wear dresses much) was totally put to rest by the great experience she had at Mathilda Rose and by the friendly and helpful staff there.
Spookily that very same day Nicola from Mathilda Rose sent across this haunting ‘Purely Indulgent’, Halloween inspired window from her beautiful bridal boutique in Lindfield, a collaboration put together by Nicola and a team of fab Sussex wedding suppliers. Nicola told us: “We hope brides-to-be will feel inspired by our Halloween ‘Purely Indulgent’ wedding window and have the confidence to step outside the box and try something new for their special day”.
Here at Love Sussex Weddings we are big supporters of stepping outside the box when it comes to wedding inspiration and think that Nicola and her team of Sussex wedding suppliers have done a fab job with this haunting Halloween display. We are especially loving the french lace wedding dress details, those gorgeous trailing red amaranthus and the dramatic red and black accent colours (a colour scheme that also worked really well in this polka dot inspired Brighton wedding that we featured a few weeks back).
Nicola added: “The beautiful dresses we have chosen to style are ‘Delphine’ designed by Elizabeth Stuart, ‘Verity’ designed by Johanna Hehir and the little flowergirl dress is designed by Nicki Macfarlane. The fabulous shoes are designed by Harriet Wilde, all available to order from Mathilda Rose.”
“The sensational cake is a new design from Cake Maison, inspired by Elizabeth Stuart’s beautiful ‘Delphine’ gown. Ivory pleating, a soft-grey peplum and a blood-red flower to make it perfectly ghoulish for this occasion.”
“The incredible floral displays were created especially by Flowerbug Designs using striking high gloss black candelabra’s suspended from the ceiling, velvety red grand prix roses, seasonal deep red tinged hydrangeas, deep burgundy foliage and trailing red amaranthus.”
Many thanks to Nicola for sending over these lovely photos. We hope you all feel
spookily suitably inspired. If you too are feeling a little bit apprehensive about your wedding dress shopping why not face your fear and pop over to Mathilda Rose in Lindfield for a spot of friendly wedding dress shopping and a cuppa to see that it really isn’t so scary after all?
