Thinking about having a vintage-inspired garden tea-party or dessert table at your Sussex wedding or hen party?
Then this beautiful Brighton Alice in Wonderland themed wedding inspiration shoot by Erika of Photomadly and her team of Sussex wedding suppliers might be just the thing to give you some fun garden tea-party inspiration (first featured on the Alice in Weddingland blog). It’s a theme with a local link too, as Alice in Wonderland is rumoured to have been partly written in, and inspired by, Brighton (who knew?)…
Erika told us: “The shoot location was Sussex Square and Lewes Crescent Gardens, former home to Lewis Carroll’s sister and frequent abode of Lewis Carroll himself. Local lore has it that not only did Carroll write some of Alice in Wonderland while staying with his sister and surveying the view of the gardens, but also that the private tunnel to the beach from the gardens was the real inspiration for it. One look at the tunnel and I think you’ll see why”.
Erika also told us about Peter Gosbe, seen below as the Mad Hatter groom: “Peter is Brighton’s very own resident mad hatter. He is a milliner and jeweller who makes amazing one-of-a-kind steampunk top hats and specialises in jewellery made from the gears of pocket watches”.
